This happened. Easter chocolate cravings…Boom!
Dairy, gluten and processed sugar – free.
I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth – so the raw cacao powder combined with the salt, really balances out the sweet, yet savoury flavours in this chocolate.
This is quite a rich chocolate – quality over quantity.
After Power Yoga this morning, this was a fantastic little afternoon boost paired with an espresso.
This is literally going to take you 5 minutes to make, oh and the waiting time in the freezer. But let me tell you, it’s worth the wait.
YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 cup cold pressed organic extra virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup raw organic cacao powder
1/4 cup organic pure maple syrup
1 tbsp almond butter
1/3 cup coconut flakes (unsweetened)
1/4 tspn vanilla bean powder
1/8 tspn himalayan sea salt
Line a small square tray with baking paper.
Melt the coconut oil gently in a saucepan. Stir in the cacao powder, then the maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla powder and sea salt.
Lastly add 3/4 of the coconut flakes and combine.
Pour into the lined pan and sprinkle with remaining coconut flakes.
Place flatly in the freezer for 20 mins.
Remove and break into pieces. You will want to work fast as the chocolate will melt fairly quickly.
Store in a sealed container in the fridge.
This will store around a week.
Hope you love this just as much as I do! x
